Terms of service

These terms govern your use of DocVolta ("we", "us"): the website at docvolta.com, the online tools, and the DocVolta API. By using them you agree to these terms.
The service
DocVolta converts, renders and reads documents and images: PDF tools, Office-to-PDF conversion, web page screenshots and PDFs, and handwriting recognition. We may change, add or remove features over time.
Purchases
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Refunds are covered by our refund policy. Purchases made through an API marketplace, such as RapidAPI, are governed by that marketplace's terms.
Acceptable use
You must not use DocVolta to:
- process content you do not have the right to process, or that is unlawful;
- capture or convert web pages in breach of their owner's terms or applicable law;
- attempt to bypass usage limits, bot protection or rate limits, including by automating the online tools instead of using the API;
- probe, attack, overload or interfere with the service or its infrastructure;
- resell the online tools' free allowance.
We may suspend access that breaches these terms.
Your files
You keep all rights to what you upload. We process your files only to produce the result you asked for, and discard them straight away. See the privacy policy.
Accuracy
Handwriting recognition and text extraction are automated and can make mistakes, especially with unclear writing or poor images. Check results before relying on them for anything important. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Availability
We aim to keep DocVolta available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned or unplanned downtime may occur.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will say so on this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
